1-1 Birth Debrief Session

A private 60-minute session with an experienced midwife to talk through your birth experience, ask questions and make sense of what happened.

Birth doesn't always go the way we imagined. Whether your experience was positive, difficult, unexpected, empowering, upsetting or simply left you with unanswered questions, having dedicated time to talk it through can be incredibly valuable.

This one-to-one debrief gives you a safe, confidential space to revisit your experience with an experienced midwife and explore the things you have been wondering about since your birth.

Your session may include:

• Talking through your birth experience from your perspective
• Going through what happened during your labour and birth
• Understanding terminology, interventions or procedures you encountered
• Exploring questions you didn't get the chance to ask at the time
• Understanding different stages of your labour and birth
• Discussing your birth preferences and whether they were able to be followed
• Preparing questions for your obstetrician, doctor or maternity team
• Talking through feelings or concerns surrounding your experience
• Identifying what you would like to understand or do differently in a future pregnancy
• Helping you feel more informed about your experience

You don't need to have had a traumatic birth to benefit from a debrief.

Sometimes you simply want to understand what happened, why certain decisions were made or have someone knowledgeable listen to your experience without judgement.

Refunds

Once the cohort has started, bookings are non-refundable. Before the cohort begins, we may be able to offer a partial refund or credit, depending on the circumstances. Please see our Terms & Conditions for full cancellation and refund details.

Transfer

Life happens. You can transfer your booking once, free of charge, to another cohort taking place within the following 12 months, subject to availability.

If we cancel

If we need to cancel a cohort, you can choose between a full refund or transferring your booking to a future cohort. Your printed workbook is yours to keep either way.
